Shohei Ohtani was the perfect candidate for MLB The Show’s coveted Cover Athlete spot. This much was clear even before the 2021 All Star break. The Huge team’s task was to come up with a splashy announcement concept that lived up the the larger-then-life star’s incredible performance.

Our idea: Shohei vs Shohei in an epic anime battle would be the perfect way to showcase his uniquely amazing offensive hitting power as well as his daunting pitching prowess.
